Saraswat Brahmins, one of the five ancient
Gowda Brahmins, the others being Kanyakubja, Maithili, Utkal and Gowda
Brahmins, derived their name basically from the mythological river Saraswati
that had flowed in the present Punjab and Rajasthan region, from the Himalayas
to the western sea near Dwaraka in Gujarat.
Dear Konkani students,
There are many scholarships from Vishwa Konkani Prathishtan and Dr Narmada & Dayanand Kamath Endowment Fund which are open for registration to those who belong to Konkani speaking community for their Plus one and two courses (Rs 5000/- pa), degree courses (Rs 10,000/- pa), Engineering (Rs 30,000/- pa) & Medical courses (Rs 40,000/- pa).
We are arranging a Scholarship Mela on 1st July at Narmada Complex, Karnakodam, Ernakulam at 10am. Those who wish to get more details on the scholarship and register can do so on that day.
Students may utilise this golden opportunity.
