Mayakkam Enna is a Tamil romantic drama film
directed by Selvaraghavan. It stars his brother Dhanush, along with newcomer
Richa Gangopadhyay, and features music scored by G. V. Prakash Kumar while
the cinematography was handled by Ramji. Mayakkam Enna depicts the story of
a wildlife photographer and his struggles in life. The film, produced and
distributed by Gemini Film Circuit, released on 25 November 2011to generally
positive reviews.
Plot:
Kartik Saminathan (Dhanush) lives along with his
sister after their parents passed away. It is said that only their friends help
them for their livelihood. Sundar, Shankar, Padmini and Vindhya were his
friends. It is said that his nick name is genius as he used to do stupid things.
Everyone used to stay in Sundar's home. Sundar's Father is said to be Role model
for the father's of young generation. Kartik's aim is to become wildlife
photographer and his inspiration in Madhesh Krishnasamy an expert in wildlife
photography. When Kartik approaches Madhesh to accept him as his assistant,
Madhesh sents him out by humiliating him.
Karthik prefers to spend his time with his close buddie Sundar (Sundar)
and their gang have a gala time. One fine day, Kartik is introduced to Yamini (Richa),
Sundar's girlfriend. Kartik and Yamini turns cat and mouse and often end up
quarreling. But call it fate, Yamini is slowly attracted towards Kartik. There
begins a different journey in the lives of these three people. What happens
then forms the rest.
